A basil with an intense aroma, with reddish-brown leaves and a stronger flavor than genovese basil.
It must be replanted every 2 or 3 years to invigorate the foliage and ensure a more pronounced aroma.
It does not tolerate low temperatures, frosts or excessive heat.
The leaves can be used dry or fresh, especially delicious in salads and as a garnish.
