Example Configuration

Get rid of all the timers, triplets and messy cables hanging in your grow room.

With this configuration you get precise control of your lamps, configuring the growing days from 18h/6h to 12h/12h in one click, allowing even to make an 8h/8h day if you wish so.

The temperature and humidity probe enables the control of the ventilation, lowering the consumption for this device while optimizing the climate in your grow.

Connecting two water pumps to PowerBot allows the control of irrigation (hydroponics and soil), from the basic weekday's selection (one hour in the morning every other day) to the enhanced recurrent schedule (5m every hour). The GroLab™ software allows the creation of schedules to feed any kind of grow type with extreme precision.

This configuration easily manages one area with two distinct growing systems inside, ensuring, light, climate and proper watering for each growing system independently.

PowerBot supports a wide variety of sensors, like smoke/motion detectors that can be used to create security procedures, or water level sensors to keep you updated about the tank level. Also, it even supports a flood detector that makes GroLab™ capable of ensuring that no leaks or floods will damage your crops, improving the overall security of your growing area.

GroLab™ offers data-logging and data-storing, these features ensure that all the information about sensors/devices is collected and stored over time! Thanks to these and to the data-visualization features, it is possible to do a detailed analysis of the life cycle of your plants, enabling you to maximize their growth and efficiency!

This is a scheme designed to show some of the GroLab™ StarterKit possibilities, nevertheless, you can rearrange the devices, and even replace them, with any other device you may find useful, lights, fog makers, fans, dehumidifiers etc. If you need more sensors or outputs, or just to control another growing area, you just need to add extra modules to this kit (GroNode supports up to 4 modules of each type), and expand your control with new features.

PERIODICAL UPDATES

GroLab™ Software is always under development. If a newer version is available, the system will automatically update. MODULAR

Remember, one GroNode supports up to 4 PowerBots, 4 TankBots, 4 SoilBots, and 4 UserBots. You are free to spread them between 4 different areas with two different grows each. Whenever you need a new vegetative, cloning or flowering room, simply extend your GroLab™ system by adding the desired extra modules.

GroNode

GroNode, the brain module from GroLab grow controller system.

THE HEART & BRAIN OF THE OPERATION

A state of the art growing unit that interacts with other GroLab™ modules simulating the operation of a brain. It is capable to execute hundreds of instructions and to store a large amount of data allowing a detailed analysis about the life cycle of the user’s plants. GroNode will do all the hard work for you and will notify you if a risk situation arises. The only limit to GroNode is your imagination.

Autonomous

GroNode is a powerful computer that can do hundreds of tasks by itself. You don't need any PC or other third-party device connected to GroNode for it to continue working.

Monitor & Analysis

With the GroLab™ Software, user can monitor and analyze in real time the climate variables as well as the devices' current state. Charts, grow(s) overview and manual control are just some perks you can use.

Notifications

When you provide Internet connection to GroNode it can send real-time alerts and updates to your e-mail, keeping you updated about the state of your grow(s) anywhere, anytime.

Remote Control

When connecting the GroNode to a router with an Internet connection, it allows you to activate the GroLab™ system's remote control. This feature grants user access from anywhere at any time through an easy-to-use software. Allowing to fully control all the modules.

Programmable Procedures

There are two main types of programmable procedures, alarms and schedules. GroNode has the ability to store and execute up to 100 of each type allowing a precise and extensive automation of any grow(s).

Modular

GroNode is the core of the GroLab™ modular architecture, it is capable of controlling up to 4 modules of each type (PowerBot, TankBot, SoilBot, and UserBot). This makes it easily adaptable to any grow regardless of its size, type, growing medium or growing system.

Secure

All GroLab™ communications are protected by several security layers, securing your valuable data. By using Open Grow™ private server, your e-mail notifications are also secured, not letting anyone pinpoint your grow(s).

Data-Logging

GroNode have its own memory that is capable of storing hundreds of thousands of data. With data-logging and data-visualization features, it is possible to do a detailed analysis about the life cycle of the user’s plants.

Cloud Upload

Connecting GroNode to the Internet allows the user to configure a cloud server to periodically upload the data-log from all sensors/devices.

PowerBot

PowerBot, the power module from GroLab grow controller system.

THE COMPLETE ALL IN ONE POWER MODULE

PowerBot allows you to connect and control the electrical peripherals of your growing environment. This powerful unit monitors and automates all the basic elements of your grow like temperature, humidity, airflow, lighting, and irrigation. Create safety protocols & procedures to avoid overheating and minimize the damage in case of fire or floods. With PowerBot every variable is under your direct control, enabling you to maximize your plants' growth and efficiency!

Power Supplier

PowerBot provides power to all peripherals of your growing environment. It has 4 universal outlets that support up to 2300W (per outlet and in total) or unlimited power when using an external electrical contactor.

Lighting

Automate any lighting system connected to PowerBot. With our advanced lighting system, you are not bound to the 24 hours combined day, your grow(s) can now have 20 hours of combined day/night, or even less if you wish so.

Climate

The included temperature & humidity sensor, combined with the ability to independently control electrical devices, ensures precise and accurate climate automation of the growing area.

Irrigation

From drip systems to hydroponics, GroLab™ schedule capabilities allow you to preset the irrigation for any kind of system.

Flood Prevention & Detection

Equipped with a flood detection system, it will quickly detect any water leaks or excesses, activating the security procedures (previously programmed by the user) to minimize damages and/or to notify you regarding the anomaly.

Tank Level Management

This module supports a universal switch of your choice like water level sensors, allowing to continuously monitor the water level of your tanks. With the right peripherals connected to PowerBot, like solenoid valves or water pumps, you can create procedures to automatically drain and refill, allowing a complete tank maintenance.

Safety Protocols & Procedures

PowerBot allows you to create safety protocols & procedures to avoid risk situations or even react to them in order to minimize the damage. Fires and intrusions are some examples of risk situations this module can handle. The cool-down time feature prevents damage to devices that require some time to cool before being turned back on (HPS Lamps). All of these options are fully configurable!

Manual Control

This module comes with 4 external switches that give the user the ability to manually control all connected peripherals at any time on the spot.

LED Indicator

Its design features 4 LEDs that indicate which elements are ON. Useful to visually understand what is happening on your grow(s).

Wireless

PowerBot communicates with GroNode through radio frequency with a range of 25 meters indoors (depending on obstacles) and 100 meters in open spaces. This makes it easy to install the PowerBot on your growing area or even on the outside.

In its core, PowerBot can sample air temperature and humidity, the probe for this purpose is included in the package. This module also presents connectors for a universal switch and a flood detector. In addition, PowerBot has an internal temperature sensor for security purposes.

Software

GroLab™ Software is the control booth of the system. The main purpose of this software is to allow you to fully configure the whole system, providing all the tools to customize modules and devices settings matching the functionalities of any agricultural growing system. Track your grow(s) progress through IP cameras and a variant of data inputs, featuring graphs, historical data, and trends. All sensors/actuators data can easily be exported to a friendly file for an external deep analysis. Using a third-party device capable of cloud data logging, GroLab™ system can periodically upload data to that device in the JSON format. Thanks to the remote control feature, this easy-to-use software allows you to keep controlling and monitoring your grow(s) like if you were there.
