What does GroLab™ Doser allows me to control?

This configuration allows you to automatically dispense the precise amounts of fertilizer A & B to the solution whenever the tank is refilled or whenever you schedule it.

PH is automatically adjusted to the defined value by automatically compensating the pH's rise/fall in your solution. In addition, the water level is constantly monitored through the level sensors available in this kit.

TankBot is also a powerful security tool since you can sample any universal switch sensor, like smoke or motion detectors, allowing, for example, to shut down all your room or the whole system, and even send you an e-mail when, someone gets too near, or smoke is detected. All of these procedures and options are fully customizable!

In this configuration, there are still two inputs and one output available to use with the peripherals that most suits your needs.

GroLab™ offers data-logging and data-storing, these features ensure that all the information about sensors/devices is collected and stored over time! Thanks to these and to the data-visualization features, it is possible to do a detailed analysis of the life cycle of your plants, enabling you to maximize their growth and efficiency!



GroLab GroDoser Base Configuration



This is a scheme designed to show some of the GroLab™ Doser Kit possibilities, nevertheless, you can rearrange the devices, or even replace them, with any other device you may find useful, like dosing pumps, solenoids, power relays, etc. Since a single GroNode supports up to 4 modules of each type, if at some point, you need to add more sensors or devices (e.g. to control another growing area), you will only need to add the desired extra modules expanding your control.

This is the exact package that will arrive at your doorstep. It comes with a GroNode, a TankBot, all the necessary cables, sensors, and connectors. Additional, you also get 3 peristaltic pumps and two level sensors, allowing you to control the nutrients and pH in your fedding solution. It also includes a USB Pen that contains the GroLab™ Software, instruction manuals, and video tutorials.

TankBot is capable of handling much more peripherals than the ones included in this kit, you can add another peristaltic pump or a solenoid valve, and still add up to two smoke detectors, buttons or water level sensors. PERIODICAL UPDATES

GroLab™ Software is always under development. If a newer version is available, the system will automatically update. The same happens for any of the included modules, this means that your GroLab™ Doser Kit will have access to any improvements that our development team implements in the near future.

MODULAR

Remember, one GroNode supports up to 4 PowerBots, 4 TankBots, 4 SoilBots, and 4 UserBots. You are free to spread them between 4 different areas with two different grows each. Whenever you need a new vegetative, cloning or flowering room, simply extend your GroLab™ system by adding the desired extra modules.

THE HEART & BRAIN OF THE OPERATION

A state of the art growing unit that interacts with other GroLab™ modules simulating the operation of a brain. It is capable to execute hundreds of instructions and to store a large amount of data allowing a detailed analysis about the life cycle of the user’s plants. GroNode will do all the hard work for you and will notify you if a risk situation arises. The only limit to GroNode is your imagination.

Autonomous

Although it may not seem like it, GroNode is a powerful computer that can do hundreds of tasks by itself. This means that it is not necessary to have a PC or other third-party device connected to GroNode for it to continue working. GroLab™ Software is only required to configure the system and to monitor your grow(s).

Secure

GroLab™ has several layers to protect your data, in addition to the credentials needed to access GroLab™ Software the system also requires credentials to access GroNode. This means that if your PC gets compromised the GroLab™ will stay safe. E-mail notifications are also secured, GroNode uses a private server as a redirection point to send notifications, this way the IP can't be linked to your location. Remember that GroLab™ can operate without Internet connection, using it that way entirely hides it from the world.

Programmable Procedures

There are two main types of programmable procedures, alarms and schedules. GroNode has the ability to store and execute up to 100 of each type allowing a precise and extensive automation of any grow(s).

Multitasking

GroNode has the ability to perform hundreds of tasks simultaneously. This capacity provides to the GroLab™ system a fast and precise reactions based on the desired user instructions.

Modules Communication

GroNode communicates with other modules through radio frequency with a range of 25 meters indoors (depending on obstacles) and 100 meters in open spaces. This makes it easy to organize the modules through the growing area(s) or even on the outside.

Accessibility & Connectivity

GroNode can be configured, monitored and controlled by an easy-to-use software. You can choose whether you connect GroNode to a router, directly to PC or to other access point with Ethernet support.

Notifications

When you provide Internet connection to GroNode it can send real time alerts and updates to your e-mail, keeping you updated about the state of your grow(s) anywhere, anytime.

Data-Logging

GroNode has its own memory that is capable of storing hundreds of thousands of data. With data-logging and data-visualization features, it is possible to do a detailed analysis about the life cycle of the user’s plants.

Remote Control

When connecting the GroNode to a router with an Internet connection, it allows you to activate the GroLab™ system's remote control. This feature grants user access from anywhere at any time through an easy-to-use software. Allowing to fully control all the modules.

Security Protocols

It is possible to create complex security protocols using alarms (one of the main programmable procedures type). They provide several tools to prevent, notify or even react to risk situations. One of the possible reactions is to suspend some parts or even the whole system until the user gives the order to continue. When a security alarm activates, GroNode will blink red and can also be configured to emit a loud beeper and send e-mail notifications.

Cloud Upload

This is another feature that makes the bridge between your grow(s) and the online world. Connecting GroNode to the Internet allows the user to configure a cloud server to periodically upload the data-log from all sensors/devices. One feature that opens the door to a multitude of advanced data analysis possibilities, essential for comprehensive studies.

IP Cameras

GroNode supports IP cameras allowing the user to keep their grows and surrounding areas under constant surveillance from anywhere at any time, through an intuitive interface provided by the GroLab™ Software.

Battery

On the agriculture automation domain it is crucial to keep the date and time synchronized in order to achieve a rigorous precision. GroNode has its own battery which ensures that the internal clock remains synchronized during certain periods of time without electricity. In this way, in the event of a power failure, the same rigorous precision will be guaranteed when the electrical conditions are restored.

THE POWERFUL TANK MANAGER

TankBot is the most versatile and precise module from the GroLab™ family. It could be described as a complete controller that is able to cover all the aspects of tank management. However, this description is not enough because TankBot is much more than that. PH & water temperature regulation, nutrients dosing, water level management, and tank refill/drain are just some examples of the TankBot capabilities.

Actuator Management

TankBot can provide power to all peripherals of your growing environment. It has 4 connectors that supports 12v actuators allowing a wide variety of devices like water pumps, solenoid valves, peristaltic pumps, relays, air pumps and power contactors. Using power contactors or relays extends the module capabilities to control any kind of device, providing a huge amount of options to automate a variety of systems like irrigation, lighting and air flow. In addition, TankBot provides an extra power output (12V/1A or 24V/2A), that you can use to power sensors like motion/smoke detectors, this output is not controllable working only as a power supply.

Manual Control

This module comes with 4 external switches that give the user the ability to manually control all connected peripherals at any time on the spot.

PH Monitor & Adjustment

This module gives you the possibility to deep analysis, monitor and control the pH. The GroLab™ system programmable procedures offers several options to regulate pH based on the user needs.

EC Monitor & Analysis

TankBot also supports EC probe extending the monitor and control of your water tank to another level. GroLab™ system can notify you and even react based on electrical conductivity of your water.

Water Temperature

TankBot provides all you need to continuously regulate the water temperature ensuring the optimum conditions for your plants to grow.

Nutrients Dosing

This module supports 4 extra switch sensors of your choice like water level sensors, allowing to continuously monitor the water level of your tanks. With the right peripherals connected to the TankBot, like solenoid valves or water pumps, user can create procedures to automatically drain and refill, allowing a complete tank maintenance.

Safety Protocols & Procedures

TankBot allows you to create safety protocols & procedures to avoid risk situations or even react to them in order to minimize the damage. Fires and intrusions are some examples of risk situations this module can handle. The cool-down time feature prevents damage to devices that require some time to cool before being turned back on. All of these options are fully configurable!

Module Communication

TankBot communicates with GroNode (the system's core module) through radio frequency with a range of 25 meters indoors (depending on obstacles) and 100 meters in open spaces. This makes it easy to install the TankBot close to the water tank.

Monitor & Analysis

GroLab™ Software is the control booth of the system. The main purpose of this software is to allow you to fully configure the whole system, providing all the tools to customize modules and devices settings matching the functionalities of any agricultural growing system. Track your grow(s) progress through IP cameras and a variant of data inputs, featuring graphs, historical data, and trends. All sensors/actuators data can easily be exported to a friendly file for an external deep analysis. Using a third-party device capable of cloud data logging, GroLab™ system can periodically upload data to that device in the JSON format. Thanks to the remote control feature, this easy-to-use software allows you to keep controlling and monitoring your grow(s) like if you were there.
